Concept for Historic Langney Priory, Eastbourne, East Sussex
The Directors believe that the establishment of Historic Langney Priory as a Hospitality Venue and Overnight Visitor Hotel, Training Centre,
Historic England Grade II* Listed estate, - offering a high-end Training Hotel/B&B, international work placements, conferencing, small festivals
and a wide range of stimulating historic, rural and ecological training experiences, will benefit the community and attract visitors and business
delegates to Eastbourne and from East Sussex and beyond.
The proposals set out in the Abridged Particulars Memorandum, show that the status of Historic Langney Priory, being a company whose shares are
widely held by the public and by institutions, would be enhanced by increasing Historic Langney Priory's profile and standing with visitors and holiday
makers intending to visit Eastbourne and surrounding areas, including the South Downs, Seven Sisters Cliffs and Beachy Head landscapes; Historic
Langney Priory would also benefit from its renovation and restoration, so that it can be used as a venue for business conferences with associated
overnight stays by delegates, with income also being generated from self-catering apartments, self-catering shepherd huts, glamping in yurts, and
overnight stays by wedding guests and reception events, by the use of the Priory's consecrated chapel.
